#good #they are the reason for each others survival #and then he has to watch her almost die and not be able to help her when their entire relationship is about helping each other #this fandom talks about gale staying unchanged through the games and no he doesn’t change as much as katniss no one would argue that not even close #but if you watched your best friend lie on the ground dying or with a knife at her throat or nearly die of thirst or of poisonous bug stings #and nearly die half a dozen times #and not only is this your best friend this is the person you are IN LOVE WITH #and your entire relationship is foundational upon helping each other and you can’t help her #no one comes out of that unchanged #the woods became their savior and her knowledge of the woods saves her in the games #that is how she lives #because of the things she learned in the woods with gale #she carries gale into the games with her #she carries him with her and she misses him and she wonders what he thinks of all this kissing #because SHE CARRIES HIM WITH HER #because this ship is about katniss #katniss carries him with her #and there is nothing #NOTHING #more important to me and my shipping of this than that single fact #she carries him with her because gale is hers #and this ship #is a ship #in my life #and it’s perfect and this fandom doesn’t get it and has no interest in getting it and i’m just like #WHYYYYYY IT’S SO BEAUUUUUTIIIIIFFFUUUULLL #whatever i will keep them to myself #gale is mine. i am his. anything else is unthinkable. #may the odds be ever in your favor #the odds are not in my favor today because i’m still stuck here with these FEELINGS

30 Days Hunger Games Challenge
Day 4 → A character you love that everyone hates.He might not be the most hated character (I think Coin already has dibs on that title), but I still see a lot of hate - or dislike, rather - towards him. I actually really liked his character, from the start of the series until the very end - he’s one of my favourites. But apparently that’s just me.
Oh well, haters gonna hate.
You aren’t alone. I loved Gale the entire series as well. Despite not “putting Katniss first” like Peeta, I don’t think his love for her was any less (which I feel a lot of the romantics disliked Gale for); really I think it was greater.
Not gonna lie, being originally from Wisconsin, I freaked out when Josh picked cheese over chocolate. I am right there with you Josh, right there with you :D

I’m with you! I love Gale and Liam is the reason I even decided to read the books because of his presence in the first trailer of the film! He was beautiful and witty and so personable in his first few scenes.So I went to see The Hunger Games last night.
And it was awesome.
And Josh Hutcherson is hot and everything.
But I’m still Team Gale. :P
Hey! Exactly how I felt. So rushed, if I didn’t read the books, I’m not sure I would have caught the intensity that is Katniss and Peeta’s relationship. The depth of it and what it means to District 12 and so forth.I figured the acting would be great and all but I’m surprised by how well the story followed the book. I will say I wish the relationships happened a bit better, like as in slower. But I also acknowledge the movie was already 2 1/2 hours and if anything else had been shortened I would have…
I was thinking today before I saw THG movie that it’s going to be almost as hard to wait for the movie to arrive on DVD as it was to wait till for March 23! especially since us Tumbs are lovers of the gif. Also, equally as hard to wait for the next 3 installments. Now I know how diehard Twilight and HP people feel.
But I have mixed feelings…def didn’t hate it or anything. Overall it was fantastic and I think captured the essence of the book, it was just so rushed! Obviously they need to cut things out for timing sake, however, even delivery of lines felt too fast. There were a couple moments too that were so corny and forced, but then again that’s probably good when concerning Peeta because he was the corny lover in the book.
Liam was so stinking good for his 3 minutes on screen, like literally I just want a Gale movie, or book.. I can’t wait for Catching Fire and more importantly Mockingjay for the sole purpose that we get more Gale! Jen was golden and Josh was charming. My favorite fight was the ending with Cato, Katniss, and Peeta. Favorite scene entirely is up in the air, I’m partial to the Katniss spotting her family and Gale in the crowd. Ahh that is all, I suppose. FOr now.
